Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Course - Call us on +44 (0) 1443 223544 or Contact Us - 5 Days

These courses are designed for delivery to organisations (worldwide).

Introduction

The tighter control offered by a well installed, commissioned distributed control system is without doubt one of the main factors contributing to an improved product. Graphs and trends inform us when a product is going off specification.

It also assists with maintenance problems acting as maintenance manager in some cases. This is the “excellence end of plant control, being able to carry out many functions, it warns the operator and maintenance team well before a system is about to fail completely.

The two architectures of DCS are illustrated, the computer PLC architecture and the smart field instrument version. The advantages and disadvantages of each are a strong topic of this course.

12) Select a suitable wireless network for process plant control

and many more.

Who is this course for?

All those employed on a process plant in the oil and gas industry. This would be suitable for all maintenance staff; instrument, electrical, operations and mechanical technicians. It would also be of interest to supervisors, engineers and managers with a “need to know” or wishing to update their knowledge.
