Objectives
1) Identify common barriers to effective communication and know how to overcome them.
2) Demonstrate an awareness of cultural differences in communication and an understanding of how to adjust to them.
3) Understand how different people perceive the world in different ways and how this affects communication in the workplace.
4) Demonstrate the use of effective methods for active listening.
5) Demonstrate the use of professional and efficient telephone skills.
6) Identify their own preferred individual communication style and understand how to communicate effectively with people who have a different communication style.
7) Understand the difference between assertive and aggressive behavior and focus on developing an assertive interpersonal style.
8) Prepare and deliver effective instructions.
