Profile John has many years experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He has worked in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plants and LNG receiving terminals as well as liquefaction plants. This work has meant dealing with both the operations production side and the maintenance side of the industry. He has developed, and trained operations personnel and instrument technicians in wide ranging areas from localised pneumatic control to distributed control (DCS and SCADA systems) and analytical systems. His experience covers the fields of on and off the job training and instrument maintenance. He also has some years experience in the field of analytical instruments and has written training manuals covering process and laboratory gas chromatographs as well as maintaining this equipment. His writing skills are extensive throughout the Oil & Gas industry. His authorship work includes the writing of training manuals; open learning materials and competence assessment documentation. This covers topics such as programmable logic controllers, analytical systems, distributed control systems and SCADA systems. He is a member of the City & Guilds Association and the Institute of Leadership and Management. |
