Content of PPE Course

Section 1: PPE Introduction - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is the name given to all equipment that is worn by a worker which safeguards them against risk. This section looks at when PPE should be used, is it the last line of defence, entanglement and much more.  
Section 2: Body Protection - There is a great variety of body protection, each of which is worn in different conditions and circumstances. Wearing the correct body protection and wearing it correctly are vital. This section looks at overalls, boilersuits, high visibility clothing and much more.  
Section 3: Head Protection - An object falling or a blow to the head could cause serious harm or death. This makes wearing head protection a must. This section takes a look at the different types of head protection. It also looks at hard hat inspection and much more.  
Section 4: Eye Protection - Wearing the correct eye protection when required is essential, a piece of flying debris could cause blindness. Getting into the habit of wearing eye protection will help keep your eyes safe. This section takes a look at safety glasses, goggles, hoods and much more.  
Section 5: Ear Protection - Hearing protection should not be an alternative to controlling noise. Employers should issue hearing protection where needed. This section takes a look at the different types of hearing protection, a video tutorial on how to wear earplugs properly and much more.  
Section 6: Hand Protection - Wearing hand protection can protect you from cuts, abrasions, punctures, cold, heat, chemicals, liquids and gases. This section looks at the different types of hand protection (including nitrile, PVC, gauntlets, mittens, etc) and when they should be used.  
Section 7: Foot Protection - Why wear foot protection?
