Introduction
Proportional plus Integral plus Derivative controllers remain largely a mystery to personnel in the industry. The aim of this course is to remove the mystery. We show the delegate the effects of process disturbances and the return to set-point of the process variable.
By the use of modelling software we demonstrate a stable process and identify those parameters which will conduct the process to become unstable.
Further, we look at the various open and closed loop tuning methods employed by the technician.
